Industry Intel COMPANY Rentokil acquires VDCI R entokil North America acquired Vector Disease Acquisition the holding company for Vector Disease Control International VDCI a provider of mosquito control and lake management services Paul Giannamore of The Potomac Co represented and acted as VDCIs exclusive financial advisor Terms were not disclosed but with VDCIs 250 full time and 350 seasonal employees this marks Rentokils largest North American acquisition since Steritech according to Giannamore Headquartered in Little Rock Ark VDCI operates 52 offices in 31 states Annual revenue for the 12 months prior to the acquisition was approximately 47 million VDCI provides vector control services including weekly monitoring of mosquito levels species identification and disease testing using its in house laboratory and SuPPlier NewS control of both adult and larval mosquitoes from the ground and using aircraft In line with this acquisition Rentokil is establishing a new global center of excellence for mosquito control which will be based in North America VDCIs SOLitude Lake Management division provides services to control invasive aquatic vegetation and algae in lakes and ponds owned by municipal state and federal government agencies as well as private entities such as lake associations golf courses corporations and private homeowner associations The new route based service line for Rentokil North America will include chemical treatments mechanical vegetation removal aeration and fountain management Viking acquires Merlins Pest Control Bridgewater N J based Viking Termite Pest Control purchased Merlins Pest Control Denville N J The acquisition strengthens the market share of Viking an Anticimex company throughout New Jersey New York and Pennsylvania Dave Castro the retiring founder of Merlins Pest Control says he is pleased that his employees including his son will remain with Viking PCO M A Specialists a division of PCO Bookkeepers acted as exclusive financial advisor to Merlins Pest Control 16 December 2017 Pest Management Professional mypmp net
